On September 7, news from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ha Tinh said that this department had issued a document guiding the plan for exploitation, harvesting, timber and replanting for forest areas damaged by storm No. 5 in 2025. Accordingly, forest owners must count the damage and approve each household to collect them immediately to reduce the damage.
The Ha Tinh Forest Protection Department has also requested the People's Committees of wards, communes and forest owners to study, guide, develop and urgently approve exploitation and collection plans for households and individuals for protective forests invested by households that have suffered damage in the form of rolling; Inspection and verification to the extent possible, develop plans and approve exploitation to minimize forest product damage to the people.
At the same time, officers are assigned to strictly monitor and update forest developments according to regulations. During the exploitation and recovery process, it is necessary to do a good job of forest protection management, fire prevention and fighting and replanting after recovery in accordance with regulations.

Due to the impact of storm No. 5, thousands of hectares of acacia forests in Ha Tinh province were broken and collapsed, causing great damage to people planting forests.
After the storm, people conducted exploitation and collection, but were stuck with the regulation "for protective forests invested by households and planted forests, if they want to exploit, they must wait for approval from competent authorities".
While waiting for approval, people are heartbroken and worried that the forest trees have fallen, prolonging the time in the hot sun will reduce weight and reduce income.
According to the Ke Go Nature Reserve Management Board (Ha Tinh), initial statistics show that storm No. 5 caused damage to the unit of about 4,500 hectares of protection forests contracted, with a damage rate of 30-90%.
Of which, about 1,600 hectares of 1,000 households that received contracts to invest themselves in growing acacia were severely damaged.
With the above damage, the representative of the Ke Go Nature Reserve Management Board proposed: For protective forests invested by the State budget, it is necessary to have complete documents and procedures according to regulations because they are related to the liquidation and settlement of planted forests.
As for protective forests that people have invested their own capital to plant, simplify procedures, create conditions for people to both exploit and supplement missing records, thereby helping people minimize damage after the storm.
