The APEC Conference Center is a key project of particular importance to the development of Phu Quoc in particular and An Giang province in general. This place not only contributes to perfecting the architectural appearance and urban landscape but is also a place to organize major political and foreign affairs events of the province and the region.
The working delegation of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department (PCCC) and Rescue Police Department (CNCH) of An Giang Provincial Police organized a practical inspection of PCCC safety assurance during the construction of the APEC Conference Center. This is not only an inspection activity according to regulations but also a proactive solution, preventing early and remotely from possible fire and explosion risks.

At the inspection, the working delegation focused on comprehensively reviewing fire prevention and fighting safety conditions such as: the installation, management and use of temporary electricity systems serving construction; management, preservation and use of flammable materials and materials; construction and organization of escape plans; equipping initial fire fighting equipment; as well as organizing grassroots fire prevention and fighting forces, on-duty regimes and readiness to respond when incidents occur.
Through actual inspection, the working group promptly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations of potential risks of fire and explosion safety; and at the same time directly guided the Project Management Board and construction units on remedial measures suitable to the actual conditions of the project. The working group also requested units to absolutely not be subjective or negligent, and strictly comply with regulations on fire prevention and fighting throughout the construction process.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Manh Hung, Head of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department, An Giang Provincial Police emphasized: "This inspection aims to practically assess the compliance with fire prevention and fighting regulations during the construction of the APEC Conference Center. Thereby promptly guiding, reminding and requesting relevant units to overcome fire and explosion unsafety risks. The highest goal is to prevent early and remote fires and explosions, contributing to ensuring absolute safety for the province's key projects.
Seriously accepting the comments and guidance of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police force, the APEC Project Management Board affirmed that it will further strengthen responsibility in fire prevention and fighting, considering this as a continuous task, associated with each item and each stage of construction.

Mr. Quach Van Binh - Deputy Head of the APEC Project Management Board - said: "We always identify fire prevention and fighting as a mandatory requirement and top priority in the construction process. The Project Management Board regularly thoroughly grasps that construction units strictly comply with fire prevention and fighting regulations, arrange forces and vehicles on the spot and closely coordinate with the Fire and Rescue Police force to promptly handle arising situations, ensuring absolute safety for the project".
Strengthening inspection and guidance on fire prevention and fighting work during the construction of the APEC Conference Center not only contributes to proactively preventing and minimizing the risk of fire and explosion, but also clearly demonstrates the role, responsibility and proactive spirit of the Fire and Rescue Police force, An Giang Provincial Police in protecting the safety of key projects. Thereby, contributing to ensuring the progress and quality of projects, effectively serving major political and foreign affairs events of the country and the province in the coming time.
