On September 9, the People's Committee of An Giang province held a training conference on the provisions of the Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue (PCCC and CNCH) and guiding documents for implementation for leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; Chairmen of commune-level People's Committees; leaders of police of units and localities under the Provincial Police.
The conference was attended by leaders of departments, branches, sectors, Chairmen of the People's Committees and Heads of Public Security of 102 communes, wards, and special zones in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Diep Van The, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for Fire Prevention and Rescue of An Giang province, said: The Law on Fire Prevention and Rescue passed by the National Assembly on November 29, 2024, effective from July 1, 2025, is an important step forward, marking the completion of the legal system in the field of fire prevention and rescue. The Law has supplemented and amended many regulations, creating an important legal corridor to improve the effectiveness of fire prevention and response, accidents, and protection of the lives and property of the State and people.
Colonel Diep Van The also emphasized that in order to put the provisions of the Law and Decree No. 105/2025/ND-CP of the Government into practice in An Giang, there needs to be synchronous coordination between sectors and levels; the understanding and flexible application of cadres, civil servants, public employees and forces directly involved in fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue.
This conference is an important opportunity to update new legal knowledge, while exchanging and removing difficulties and obstacles in implementation.
The delegates actively discussed and shared experiences, and proposed many practical solutions to improve the effectiveness of state management of fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue, in accordance with the actual situation in each agency, unit and locality.
At the conference, Colonel Hoang Ngoc Huynh, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, directly conveyed and analyzed new points of the Law and documents guiding its implementation. Colonel Hoang Ngoc Huynh affirmed: The training work not only helps local officials and authorities grasp the provisions of the law, but is also the basis for building a strong force and plan for fire prevention and rescue according to the motto of four on-site, contributing to reducing the risk of fire and explosion, and protecting safety for the community.
