On February 23, 2026 (January 7th of the Binh Ngo year 2026), Hong Gai Ward Police received a report from Mr. Ng. Q. Tri (born in 1957; residing in zone 3, Cao Xanh ward, Quang Ninh province) about a rare incident, using someone else's vehicle by mistake for many days.
According to the report, on February 16, 2026 (ie, the 29th of Tet), Mr. Ng. Q. Tri borrowed a Honda Wave RSX motorbike with license plate 14T4-11xx from his nephew, Mr. L. Tuan Anh (born in 1990; residing in zone 3, Cao Xanh ward, Quang Ninh province) to buy a flower pot in zone 1, Cao Xanh ward.
At the same time, Mr. H.V. Chuyen (born in 1985, residing in Hai Trung, Hai Hau, Ninh Binh) also drove a motorbike with similar designs and colors to buy goods in this area.
Because the two cars have similar designs and colors, when Mr. Chuyen used his car key, he started the wrong car of Mr. Tri parked next to him.
Believing that it was his vehicle, Mr. Chuyen drove the vehicle away without making a mistake.
On Mr. Tri's side, because the car was still running and operating normally, he did not suspect anything.
When Mr. Tri returned the car to Mr. Tuan Anh, the family discovered that the vehicle was not the original one and reported it to the police.
Immediately after receiving the report, Hong Gai Ward Police urgently deployed verification measures.
With the cooperation of the people, functional forces quickly identified the driver of the vehicle who went the wrong way, invited them to work and organized the return of the vehicle to the correct owner.
