The landslide protection embankment in the area of groups 13, 14, 15 of the old Pom Han ward (now belonging to Cam Duong ward) has a total investment of 50 billion VND.
The project is implemented to protect the safety of dozens of households living in areas at high risk of landslides, especially during the rainy and flood season.

The project started in April 2025, and according to the initial plan, it will be completed in August 2025. However, by mid-January 2026, the project could not be handed over due to many objective factors.
Records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on January 15 show that in the construction area, many main items of the embankment line have gradually been revealed. Machinery and equipment are still being mobilized at the construction site, workers are urgently constructing during favorable weather days.

However, due to the impact of prolonged rain for many months, the project progress was interrupted and could not be completed on schedule.
While waiting for the embankment line to be completed, the lives of people in the landslide area are still facing many difficulties. Dozens of households have to temporarily relocate, some renting rooms, some staying at the residential cultural house. Life conditions are cramped and lacking, especially the worry of prolonged heavy rain is still constant.

In order to complete the embankment line soon, the investor and contractor are mobilizing manpower and machinery to accelerate progress and ensure safety for households around the area.
On January 15, in an exchange with reporters, Mr. Nguyen The Trong - Deputy Director of Minh Duc General Construction Co., Ltd., the project construction unit - said that as soon as the weather was favorable, the contractor mobilized maximum manpower and machinery to compensate for progress. Up to now, the project has completed about 90% of the volume.
Currently, the unit is focusing on restoring the road surface and constructing the drainage system on the 23.9. route. We organize overtime, taking advantage of each sunny day to complete the project soon. The contractor is committed to bringing the project to completion before the Lunar New Year," Mr. Trong affirmed.

According to the Investment and Construction Project Management Board of Cam Duong - Hop Thanh area, this is a project that the provincial leaders are particularly interested in, regularly directing and urging progress.
Regarding the reasons for the slow completion, the leader of the Project Management Board said that the project did not encounter site clearance problems because it was completed early. However, prolonged rain in the past time has prevented many items from being implemented continuously, directly affecting the overall progress.
Currently, the investor is closely coordinating with the contractor, requesting to maximize favorable weather conditions to accelerate construction, soon complete the project, and stabilize people's lives.
