These days, in the Hung Vuong street area in village 3A (Khe Sanh commune, Quang Tri province), the construction atmosphere is taking place urgently day and night.
At the construction site, leaders of Quang Tri province, leaders of the Department of Construction and local officials regularly closely followed the site, directly inspected and directed the progress of each item to soon complete the anti-landslide embankment project, ensuring safety for people to repair their houses after floods.

According to the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province, on December 21, the force participating in the construction was up to more than 260 people, including 60 officers and soldiers of Brigade 384 (Army Corps 12), 200 officers and soldiers of Division 968, along with local forces, investors, survey consultants and supervision consultants. There are a total of 48 vehicles and mechanical equipment of all kinds on the construction site, ensuring continuous construction with a large volume.
The service road to the project has been completed since December 12 and is being reinforced and expanded daily to serve the transportation of materials. As of 5:00 p.m. on December 21, the volume of earth filled and compacted reached 9,646/23,500m3, equivalent to more than 41% of the volume; the volume of sand, gravel, and stone reached nearly 96%; the hocked stone gathered and constructed was about 250m3. Units continue to work overtime, expected to construct about 1,000m3 of land on the night of December 21 alone, and an additional 3,000m3 of land with sand and reinforced stone on December 22.

Mr. Phan Van Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province, said that the forces are making the highest efforts to ensure progress, striving to complete the embankment before December 31, 2025. When the project is completed, the locality will repair and rebuild houses for affected households, helping people stabilize their lives soon.
It is known that the anti-erosion embankment project on Hung Vuong Street residential area, Village 3A has a total investment of 18 billion VND, invested by the Department of Construction, constructed by Brigade 384. This is a key item in the "Quang Trung Campaign" to quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters according to the direction of the Prime Minister, to protect the safety of 12 households that were seriously affected by landslides due to heavy rain in November 2025.
On November 16 and 17, 2025, heavy rain caused serious landslides, directly affecting 12 households in Khe Sanh commune, of which 1 house collapsed, so the locality evacuated 12 households to safety. On November 30 and December 3, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch 234 and Official Dispatch 1551, directing the Central provinces to promptly overcome the damage after natural disasters. At the online meeting on the morning of December 9, the Prime Minister continued to request to speed up the "Quang Trung Campaign", speed up the reconstruction and repair of houses for families whose houses were damaged by recent natural disasters.
