From 7:30 a.m. on February 6, at the Quang Tri Provincial Public Administration Service Center, the file receiving department of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Transport received files for issuing, renewing and reissuing driver's licenses.
Mr. Tran Trung Thong - Head of the Department of Transport, Vehicles and Drivers Management, Quang Tri Province Department of Transport said that with the guidance and technical support from the Vietnam Road Administration, on the afternoon of February 5, the Provincial Department of Transport resolved the errors in the driver's license printing software system.
"At first, there was a software error. After the software was upgraded, the printing part was affected. The Vietnam Road Administration staff provided remote instructions to help fix the problem. By the afternoon of February 5, it was completely fixed, so we announced that we would accept the application again," said Mr. Tran Trung Thong.

After the problem was resolved, from 7:30 a.m. on February 6, the receiving of applications for issuance, renewal and re-issuance of driving licenses at the Quang Tri Provincial Public Administration Service Center and on the Public Service Portal took place normally.
In about 30 minutes in the early morning of February 6, more than 10 people came to submit applications for driver's license renewal and re-issuance, and staff guided them to complete the application for processing according to regulations.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that from February 3, the Department of Transport stopped accepting applications for renewal and re-issuance of driver's licenses. The reason for stopping accepting applications for renewal and re-issuance of driver's licenses was due to errors in the driver's license management software system of the Vietnam Road Administration. When the error was discovered, the Quang Tri Province Department of Transport sent an IT specialist to directly contact the Vietnam Road Administration to handle the issue, but it has not been resolved yet.
