Ha Tinh – Heavy rain has caused landslides at many points on National Highway 8A passing through Huong Son district.

Recently, heavy rain lasting for many hours caused landslides at about 15 points on National Highway 8A to Cau Treo International Border Gate (Ha Tinh).

Hundreds of cubic meters of soil, rock, mud and trees from the cliff poured onto the road, causing traffic jams.

Immediately after the landslide, Road Management Area II (Vietnam Road Administration, Ministry of Transport) promptly mobilized machinery and equipment to clear mud and soil from the road surface.

On this occasion, due to the influence of storm No. 4, Huong Son district had heavy to very heavy rain.

Total rainfall measured from hydrological stations was 255mm, causing water levels in lakes, dams, rivers and streams to rise, some low-lying areas were locally flooded, and traffic was difficult.
