According to the draft political report submitted to the 19th Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, by the end of 2025, Khanh Hoa has completed 24/26 targets of the Resolution for the 2020-2025 term, of which many important targets exceeded the plan.
GRDP increased by an average of 8.2%/year (compared to the target of 7.5%), total social investment capital is estimated at over 375 trillion VND, labor productivity increased by an average of 7.3%/year. The poverty rate has decreased sharply, to 0.85%, down 77% compared to 2021; Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh are recognized as poverty reduction.
The economy has shifted strongly, industry - services account for more than 82%
Khanh Hoa province's economic structure has shifted positively, towards modernity. By 2025, the proportion of industrial, construction and service sectors will account for 82.47%, and agriculture, forestry and fishery will account for 9.19%. Exports reached about 2.2 billion USD, exceeding the set target of 2 billion USD.
Strategic investment attraction is being promoted with many large projects in the fields of processing industry, high technology, clean energy, seaports, and tourism urban areas. Traffic infrastructure is invested synchronously, strongly connecting between dynamic areas: Van Phong Bay - Nha Trang - Cam Ranh.
The province has also actively implemented Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW and specific policies issued by the National Assembly and the Government, initially achieving many positive results, meeting most of the criteria to become a centrally-governed city.
However, there are still 2 targets that have not been achieved, including: GRDP per capita (114.2 million VND/person compared to the target of 131.9 million VND), and domestic budget revenue in 2025 will increase by 1.9 times compared to 2020 (the plan is 2.2 times).
Regional linkage - even development
Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan (before the merger) both achieved high economic growth rates, attracting strong investment in industry, tourism, services and marine economy. Ninh Thuan stands out as a national renewable energy center, with 57 power projects with a capacity of 3,750MW (accounting for 18% of the total capacity of the country).
Both provinces are stepping up the construction of strategic infrastructure such as the Nha Trang - Cam Lam, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressways, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot, and coastal routes and inter-regional roads. The system of seaports, airports, irrigation, and logistics has been strongly invested in, meeting development requirements.
Many other sectors such as financial services - banking, processing industry, tourism, high-tech agriculture... are developed synchronously. Digital economy, green economy, digital transformation and innovation are gradually being focused on, helping to improve growth quality and competitiveness.
Development orientation for the period 2025 - 2030, Khanh Hoa clearly defines the goal of becoming a centrally-governed city, developing rapidly and sustainably on the basis of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
Accordingly, the province will focus on developing the marine economy, high-tech manufacturing and processing industry, logistics services, tourism, renewable energy, digital economy; completely removing bottlenecks, unlocking all resources; effectively using resources, protecting the environment, adapting to climate change; promoting cultural and human values, taking people as the center, goal and driving force of development;
Link economic development with national defense and security protection, especially building Truong Sa into an economic and social center at sea, a fortress to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland.
