On July 18, the Office of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced that Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Nam has just issued a document directing the arrangement of headquarters and facilities to serve the operations of the new local government model. At the same time, effectively manage and exploit redundant headquarters after the arrangement of administrative units.
Accordingly, the Khanh Hoa Department of Finance is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review the arrangement, arrangement and handling of headquarters and facilities serving the operations of agencies, organizations and units according to the 2-level local government model, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.
This Department is also a consulting unit on additional procurement for agencies and units that are lacking assets or existing assets that do not meet task requirements, ensuring compliance with standards and norms according to regulations.
Notably, the review of headquarters and surplus assets in localities before the merger must be completed to advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Plan to handle headquarters and surplus assets in accordance with legal regulations, and submit to the Provincial People's Committee before July 30, 2025.
Along with that, the Department of Finance is required to urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee to issue standards and norms for the use of cars according to the provisions of Decree 153/2025/ND-CP dated June 15, 2025 (amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree 72/2023/ND-CP), and submit to the Provincial People's Committee before July 20, 2025.
The People's Committees of communes and wards are required to prioritize ensuring headquarters, machinery, equipment, transmission lines and other assets for the Public Administration Service Center, meeting the requirements of providing public services, handling administrative procedures for businesses and people.
According to Resolution 1667/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated June 16, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Khanh Hoa province. After the arrangement, the whole province has 65 commune-level administrative units, including 16 wards, 48 communes and 1 Truong Sa special area.
Before the merger, Ninh Thuan province had 293 provincial-level houses and land. Including 84 headquarters of State administrative agencies and 209 facilities under public service units.
According to the approved plan, 189 real estate facilities will continue to be used for people's purposes. There are 95 surplus headquarters after provincial agencies, units and organizations are merged and transferred to new facilities in Khanh Hoa province.
