On March 12, the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province said that relevant units are urgently deploying repairs and overcoming traffic infrastructure damaged by the floods at the end of 2025.
According to the Department of Construction, the whole province is currently implementing 27 repair projects. Among them, 12 projects are implemented under an emergency construction order with a total estimated cost of about 303 billion VND to overcome damage on National Highway 27C, National Highway 27 and many provincial roads.
In addition, the locality also implemented 15 emergency repair items on provincial roads and rural roads to soon restore traffic infrastructure, serving the travel and transportation needs of people.
It is expected that in March 2026, project dossiers will be approved by the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to accelerate construction progress. Most of the projects are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026. Separately, heavily damaged routes such as National Highway 27C (Khanh Le Pass), Provincial Road 9 (Khanh Son Pass) and Provincial Road 707 are expected to be completed in the second to third quarter of 2026.
Previously, the work of clearing landslide soil and rocks and temporary repairs to ensure traffic was carried out on key routes such as Khanh Son Pass and Khanh Le Pass from December 2025. Maintenance units have repaired potholes, asphalt concrete pavement, reinforced negative slopes with stone cages, stone embankments and driven piles to ensure safe traffic for vehicles.
According to statistics, the flood that occurred in November 2025 caused heavy damage to the transport infrastructure of Khanh Hoa province with a total estimated value of about 1,970 billion VND. The whole province has about 381km of roads landslides and damaged and 214km of rural roads affected.
Many suspension bridges were damaged, cables were broken; more than 40 spillways were subsided and damaged, causing traffic in many areas to be cut off for a long time.
