On May 15, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station issued a meteorological bulletin.
Due to the influence of the southern edge of the low pressure trough with axis from 23-26 degrees North latitude connected to the developed hot low pressure area to the West, Khanh Hoa province continues to experience hot weather on May 15.
In which, the mountainous and southern areas of the province locally experience intense heat. The highest temperature is commonly from 35-37 degrees C, in some places above 37.5 degrees C. The relative lowest humidity fluctuates around 35-45%.
The time when the outdoor temperature is above 35 degrees Celsius lasts from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. The meteorological agency predicts that hot weather is likely to continue for about 2-4 days to come.
Due to the impact of prolonged hot weather combined with low air humidity, the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas increases due to high electricity demand. At the same time, the risk of forest fires in the province is also high.
In addition, intense hot weather can cause dehydration, exhaustion and heat stroke for people who have to be exposed to high temperatures for a long time.
