Inauguration of 26 shelters for poor households in the mountainous areas of Da Nang

Da Nang - Da Nang Police have just donated 26 new houses to poor households in the Phuoc Son highlands (old)

The program was organized by Da Nang City Police in coordination with Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) - Quang Nam Branch, aiming to achieve achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

The houses were started in April 2025, worth about 100 million VND each, the funds were voluntarily contributed by officers and soldiers of Da Nang City Police, in coordination with the support of VietinBank Quang Nam Branch. This is an activity in response to the emulation movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Prime Minister, contributing to helping poor households, policy families and people in especially difficult circumstances stabilize their housing.

All 26 houses are designed uniformly, ensuring quality, completed on schedule, suitable for the living conditions of each household in the mountainous communes of Phuoc Nang, Phuoc Chanh, Phuoc Hiep and Kham Duc town, Da Nang city.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Huu Hop - Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police affirmed: "Each house today is not only a shelter from the rain and sun, but also a meaningful luggage, giving wings to dreams and hopes ahead. This is not only a social security project, but also a reminder of the responsibility of "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" - protecting peace for the people."

On this occasion, Da Nang City Police and VietinBank Quang Nam Branch also presented gifts to celebrate the new family to households receiving new houses, spreading the spirit of sharing and connecting the community.
