On February 22, at the new headquarters of the Bac Lieu Provincial Military Command in Tra Kha Hamlet, Ward 8, Bac Lieu City, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Provincial Military Command. Attending the ceremony were Major General Nguyen Van Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 9; Mr. Le Tan Can - Deputy Minister of Finance; Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van - President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.
The project to build the headquarters of the Provincial Military Command includes 3 phases. Up to now, after completing phase 2, the new headquarters has been put into use, creating favorable conditions for officers, soldiers, and armed forces of the province to have a spacious, standard workplace with adequate facilities, creating motivation and a high sense of responsibility in performing assigned duties and tasks.
It is expected that in January 2025, the project will continue to invest in the construction of the remaining items in phase 3. This includes new construction items such as traditional houses, command houses, guest houses, citizen reception houses, etc. and other technical infrastructure works. The Provincial Military Command has directed specialized agencies to urgently complete project investment procedures, implement and strive to complete, accept and hand over the entire project for use in the first quarter of 2026.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Major General Nguyen Van Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 9 - said that the project to build a new headquarters of the Provincial Military Command on the National Highway 1A bypass (Tra Kha Hamlet, Ward 8, Bac Lieu City) has a total area of 9 hectares, with a total investment of 420 billion VND for 3 phases, enough to meet the needs of performing the tasks of the Provincial Military in the current situation.
In order for phase 3 to be built on schedule and meet the set plan, Major General Nguyen Van Tien requested relevant units to thoroughly implement construction principles, speed up construction progress but ensure quality, and strive to complete all items according to the set plan.
At the inauguration ceremony, two groups were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the construction of the Provincial Military Command headquarters, phase 2.
