On April 19, Thai Nguyen province held an inauguration ceremony for the Hanoi Ring Road V project - the section passing through Pho Yen city and Phu Binh district.
Attending were Mr. Trinh Viet Hung - Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Do Duc Cong - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Bui Duc Hai - Director of the Provincial Police and leaders and officials of departments and branches.
This is one of the province's key projects. After being put into operation, the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway will connect with National Highway 37 and Bac Giang province. At the same time, link Yen Binh Complex, Phu Binh District with Bac Giang Province, thereby helping to promote the socio-economic development of the region.
The Ring Road V project has a total capital of nearly 700 billion VND, invested by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board, and has been implemented since 2021.
The route has a total length of 6.68km, an average road surface width of 22.5m connecting Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang provinces. This is a section of the more than 330km long route passing through 8 localities with a total investment of VND 86,000 billion.
In the 2021-2025 period, this route is a level II road, 4 lanes and a 6-lane urban road. In the next phase, when there are enough investment resources and transportation needs, the V belt road will be invested in the scale of a 6-lane highway by building an elevated highway or a regular road.

On the same day, Thai Nguyen province also simultaneously held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Phu Binh 1 Urban Area and Phu Binh 2 Urban Area projects, granting investment registration certificates to secondary investors in Hanh Phuc - Xuan Phuong Industrial Cluster and Bao Ly - Xuan Phuong Industrial Cluster.
