Mr. Vinh was the one who intervened to prevent a conflict caused by a traffic collision on Le Duan Street (District 1) on the night of December 31, which resulted in Mr. Vinh being injured.
According to District 1 Police, at around 11:30 p.m.on December 31, 2024, Mr. T.A.P.(born in 1995, residing in Lam Dong Province) was driving a motorbike carrying his wife on Le Duan Street when he saw a traffic jam ahead, so he turned around to go in another direction.When Mr. P.turned around, Nguyen Van Dung (born in 1969), driving a motorbike carrying his wife, Bui Thi Ngoc Anh (born in 1971, residing in District 1), came from behind.
Dung did not let Mr. P. turn around and even cursed and intentionally blocked the car from turning around, causing an argument between the two sides. Suddenly, Dung rushed in and beat Mr. P. and his wife. Because it was the time to prepare to welcome the new year, there were many people and vehicles on Le Duan Street, causing traffic congestion.
Witnessing the incident, Vinh, who was driving a passenger, did not hesitate to intervene. However, Dung and Ngoc Anh cursed and attacked Vinh, causing him to lie injured on the street.
During the investigation, District 1 Police urgently arrested Dung and Ngoc Anh to investigate the act of "Disturbing public order".
With the spirit of courage, fearlessness of danger and high responsibility of a citizen, Mr. Vinh came to stop the illegal behavior of Dung and Ngoc Anh; this is a beautiful action of a citizen that needs to be spread in society. Therefore, District 1 Police promptly proposed that District 1 People's Committee award a certificate of merit to Mr. Vinh.
Through this, the representative of the District 1 Police Command Board hopes that every citizen when participating in traffic must strictly comply with the law; behave civilly, stay calm when handling situations that arise and really need examples like Mr. Vinh to ensure social security and order, and people are safe and happy.
