On April 19 in Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the road from the center of Ham Thuan Bac district to National Highway 1. The event took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the homeland of Binh Thuan.
The road project from the center of Ham Thuan Bac district to National Highway 1 is 4.5km long, with an 18m wide road surface, and a structure of asphalt concrete road surfaces on crushed stone layers. The total investment of the project is 265 billion VND, using central support capital and provincial budget capital. The implementation period is 4 years.
The starting point of the route intersects with Nguyen Tuong Street and Quang Trung Street in Ma Lam town; the end point intersects with National Highway 1 at km 1686+670 through Ham Duc commune, Ham Thuan Bac district.
Since the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway was put into operation, at km18 + 500 of National Highway 28, there is an intersection with this Expressway, so the traffic volume has increased. Therefore, the investment in a route from the center of Ham Thuan Bac district to National Highway 1 is to connect National Highway 1 with National Highway 28 and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway to shorten the distance, transportation time and reduce traffic volume for National Highway 28.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee - Phan Van Dang requested the contractor to focus maximum on human resources, machinery, equipment, materials, and organize scientific construction to ensure the project is of good quality, aesthetic, progress, labor safety and compliance with legal regulations.
In the past, the locality has accelerated the progress of compensation and site clearance to meet the conditions for implementing construction according to the plan. Up to now, the project is eligible for construction.
The road from the center of Ham Thuan Bac district to National Highway 1, when completed and put into operation, will help traffic flow smoothly, promote land funds on both sides of the road and attract many investors, and complete inter-commune traffic infrastructure.
