On July 1, 99 communes and wards across Lao Cai province entered the first official working day after no longer having district or city levels.
Coming to Ta Cu Ty commune - the poorest commune of Bac Ha district (old), according to the reporter's records, from early morning, commune officials were present to prepare for welcoming people and operating the new commune.
After a period of trial operation, the administrative apparatus has gradually stabilized to serve the people.

Sharing with reporters, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga - Secretary of the Party Committee of Ta Cu Ty commune - said: "Currently, the local government is holding the first session of the People's Council of the commune to complete the apparatus and implement the contents after merging with Lung Cai commune. All work on the first day went smoothly. We hope that when the new commune is put into operation, it will help people conveniently complete the necessary procedures and documents".

The one-stop department also operates stably, ensuring smooth procedures for people.
Although the number of people coming to work on the first day of operation was not large, everyone was excited and supported the merger.


Mr. Sung A Chua (residing in Ta Cu Ty commune) said: "We strongly agree with the merger policy to streamline the administrative apparatus. When coming to the commune to work, people were enthusiastically guided by the officials on many procedures and documents. People also hope that the operation of the two-level government will become more and more efficient and favorable."
In Lao Cai ward, the locality was established on the basis of the arrangement of the original status of Kim Tan, Coc Leu, Duyen Hai, Lao Cai wards and Van Hoa commune of Lao Cai city (old), Ban Phiet commune of Bao Thang district (old) with a total natural area of 72.32 km2, including 129 residential groups; population of 76,981 people.
On the first day of the operation of the two-level government, all activities were still taking place normally.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Secretary of Lao Cai Ward Party Committee - informed: "Currently, the ward is holding a meeting to implement the contents after the merger. As for the officials, they are still working, the Public Administration Center is still operating to serve the people".
In Yen Bai ward, Lao Cai province, right from the first day of implementing the new government, the implementation of administrative procedures for people at the Yen Bai ward Public Administration Service Center was carried out smoothly, without interruption, ensuring the fastest and most effective service for people.



Meanwhile, in Mau A commune, Lao Cai province, right after the end of the meeting to discuss and direct the general work on the morning of July 1, the leaders of the People's Committee of the commune inspected the infrastructure, equipment and operations of the new government.


Mr. Ha Duc Anh - Secretary of the Mau A Commune Party Committee - emphasized to the cadres that there will be many jobs in the coming time. However, it is necessary to put people at the center of all activities, quickly and effectively resolve administrative procedures, creating satisfaction and trust for the people.
At the same time, for specialized departments and offices, it is necessary to arrange, get to work immediately, deploy assigned tasks, and be responsible for implementation.
