According to the reporter, the nearly 1.7 hectare land plot located next to Nguyen Thi Bup Street (Trung My Tay Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), once known by locals as the "Tan Chanh Hiep fish pond", is being cleared, ready for the park's groundbreaking ceremony on the morning of October 13.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen (68 years old, living near the land) shared: "In the past, this area was a fish pond, abandoned for more than ten years, becoming a place containing garbage and prison water, with many flies and mosquitoes. Now the city has a park, the people are very happy. There is a place to exercise, watch the trees, the children have a place to play, the neighborhood is also brighter.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, Tan Chanh Hiep Park is invested by the city budget, with a total investment of more than 27.68 billion VND, with the goal of creating space for community activities, increasing green land funds and improving the landscape of the North of the city. The project has a construction period from October 2025 to April 2026, striving to complete before the Lunar New Year 2026.
The special feature of the park is the design idea inspired by the image of "rice seeds" - a symbol of fullness and the affection of the people of the South, expressed by the soft surface stacked together on the painting, creating a harmonious and close space.
The entire park will have a central yard, children's playground, multi-purpose yard, along with resting hut items, flower trunks, roofs, toilets and internal walking paths. The lighting system, decorative lights, automatic water irrigation, and outdoor sports equipment will be installed synchronously. Most of the area of over 11,000 m2 will be covered with trees, ornamental flowers and lawns, bringing a cool green look to the residential area.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, the unit strives to complete the project on schedule to serve people in time for Tet, while contributing to changing the appearance of the area, creating a space for living, playing, and practicing sports for the community.

From the old fish pond, in just a few months, a new park will appear bringing green, light and a new breath to Trung My Tay ward, contributing to creating a landscape highlight for the North of Ho Chi Minh City.
