Located in a new urban area planned synchronously, many townhouses on Hoang Tung Street (An Khanh Commune, Hanoi) are often flooded after heavy rains.
The entrance to the urban area on Thang Long Avenue was also deeply flooded. Many cars tried to move through and stalled and had to be rescued by rescue vehicles.

On the morning of October 7, Lao Dong reporters recorded that after a prolonged heavy rain from dawn on the same day, many townhouses on Hoang Tung Street were still deeply submerged in water.
Right from the Nam An Khanh welcome gate, along with the surrounding roads, were deeply submerged in water, making it difficult for vehicles to move. Many motorbikes or low-chassis cars even stalled while moving.

"From my window, I could only see water overflowing like a river. In just over the past month, 2 heavy rains have caused all roads in the urban area to be deeply flooded, disrupting daily life. When I left the house, the water was up to my knees," said Ms. Mai Pham, a resident in Nam An Khanh urban area.
Flooding is a "specialty" of Nam An Khanh Urban Area during each rainy season.
People here have just overcome the consequences of the deep flooding last week, but this heavy rain continues to cause everything to return to a state of instability.

Some leave home to work, some children find a way to go to school, some elderly people are taken to "run away from the flood"... This scene has been repeated for many years. However, in contrast to that inconvenience, house prices here are still constantly increasing.
The price of townhouses increased from 60-70 million VND/m2 in previous years to 200-220 million VND/m2 in September 2025. On the market, the value of these townhouses ranges from 15 billion to 25 billion VND.

Many villas and townhouses have been used with corrugated iron sheets to prevent water from flooding into their houses and also used mini pumps to pump water out in case of overflow.
