Schools in Hanoi simultaneously notify students to study online
Due to the impact of storm No. 11, many schools in Hanoi have announced that all students will study online on October 7, 2025 (Tuesday) to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
According to the urgent announcement of the Board of Directors of Cau Giay High School, Hanoi, there is currently heavy rain and strong winds in the city due to the influence of the circulation of storm No. 11. To proactively prevent risks, the school decided to organize online teaching for all students on October 7.
The Board of Directors recommends that homeroom teachers of each class specifically notify students and parents of the study plan, and at the same time send online classroom addresses to subject teachers to coordinate teaching and student management.
Homeroom teachers are required to regularly update the situation of students, closely coordinate with parents to support and ensure that all students participate fully in school. Subject teachers proactively deploy lectures according to the timetable, ensuring progress and quality of online teaching.
The school recommends that students prepare stable equipment and transmission lines and strictly implement online learning rules to ensure effective learning in unfavorable weather conditions.
Ms. Nguyen Huong (Tay Mo ward, Hanoi) said that at 6:00 a.m. this morning, the homeroom teacher at the kindergarten - where her 2-year-old son was studying, informed him that due to the dangerous rain and thunderstorms, to ensure the safety of teachers and students, the school decided to take a day off this morning, October 7.
"I think this announcement is very timely, a quick reaction from the school. This type of heavy rain and wind is really dangerous to take my child to school, my agency has just announced that this morning I will work online at home," said Ms. Huong.
Some agencies also canceled event schedules due to heavy rain in Hanoi. Ms. Lan said that this morning her agency organized an event at 8:30 am at the University of Electricity. However, the organizing committee has just decided to postpone the event due to storms.
"After the announcement from the organizing committee, I had to send a separate message to each partner to express condolences for the force majeure incident," said Ms. Lan.
Previously, on October 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training continuously issued 3 notices, allowing schools to proactively have appropriate teaching plans to ensure the safety of students and teachers in dangerous stormy conditions.
