The People's Committee of Thuc Phan Ward (Cao Bang Province) has just held a Conference to collect public opinions on the implementation of the Project "People's Cement and Service for Site Clearance for Construction Investment Projects in Cao Bang City".
This is a group C project, a level IV project, invested by the People's Committee of Thuc Phan Ward, expected to be implemented in Nam Phong 1 Residential Group in the period of 2024-2026.
According to the plan, phase 1 of the project has a scale of about 6 hectares, with main items including: leveling the area according to the planned elevation with about 1,000 graves; creating streaks and subdivision for convenient management; building a traffic road connecting National Highway 34 with the internal road system; erecting a protective fence.

The total investment capital is more than 10 billion VND, of which more than 3 billion VND is for site clearance compensation, over 5 billion VND for construction and more than 2 billion VND for other expenses.
The current status of the land for project implementation includes: about 419m2 of residential land, 3,000m2 of grave land, 264.4m2 of hills, 9,563m2 of colored land and 1,995m2 of technical infrastructure land.
Previously, Cao Bang city had Na Toong cemetery (old Song Hien ward), but after many years of use, the area here no longer meets burial needs, while the degraded infrastructure makes it difficult to move.

Sharing with reporters on September 23, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang (a resident of Thuc Phan ward) said: " Na Toong area is now cramped, the road to get there is difficult to travel. The construction of a new cemetery near National Highway 34, away from residential areas is reasonable and convenient for people".
Thuc Phan ward ( Administrative - political - commercial center) was established on the basis of merging 5 communes and wards including: Hop Giang, Song Hien, De Tham, Hung Dao and Hoang Tung.

After the arrangement, this ward has a natural area of 55.44km2 with a population of 41,157 people (the most populous in Cao Bang province). The large population will more or less form pressure on cemetery land funds in the long run.
According to many opinions, the project not only contributes to solving the urgent need for burial sites but also creates conditions for the central area of Cao Bang province to soon have a synchronous infrastructure plan, ensuring long-term urban aesthetics and order.
