On February 28, news from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that they are strengthening inspection and review of people's level crossings intersecting with the railway line.
At the same time, checking alcohol concentration for guards to prevent the risk of accidents.
Implementing the plan to ensure railway traffic order and safety, the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police has organized actual inspections at many intersections between railways and people's roads. These are locations with potential safety risks, especially in places with high traffic volume.
At inspection points, functional forces focused on reviewing the system of traffic signs, traffic lights, barriers, speed bumps; checking visibility at intersections and the compliance with operating procedures of barrier guards.
For level crossings that are at risk of unsafety due to obscured visibility, lack of warning signs or the existence of self-opened walkways, the working group has made a record of the current situation.
At the same time, it is proposed that management units and local authorities soon overcome and supplement safety assurance items.
In parallel with infrastructure inspection, officers and soldiers use specialized equipment to check alcohol concentration for level crossing guards on duty.
This is to ensure absolute safety during operation, opening and closing barriers when ships pass through intersections.
The inspection results showed that the inspected cases all strictly complied with regulations, and no alcohol concentration violations were detected.
In addition, the traffic police force also directly propagates and reminds people living along the railway line to strictly comply with the regulations "stop, observe, only pass when safety is ensured"; not to gather, trade, or graze livestock within the railway traffic safety corridor.
According to the Traffic Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, the strengthening of inspections aims to raise the awareness of labor discipline compliance of railway industry employees, and at the same time prevent railway traffic accident risks, especially at people's level crossings.
