Regarding military recruitment work, communes basically do well in military recruitment plans, propaganda work, mobilizing youth, grasping thoughts, caring for military rear policies, creating favorable conditions for young people to feel secure in enlisting.
After listening to localities report on the situation of election preparation and military recruitment in 2026, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Thi Thanh Huong emphasized: elections and military recruitment are two particularly important political tasks, directly affecting the prestige and overall results of the locality.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested communes to clearly identify the review, statistics, and accurate determination of the number and percentage of voters in the area as key tasks. The percentage of voters going to the polls depends greatly on the initial evaluation stage. If the data is inaccurate and not close to reality, it will directly affect the voter turnout rate and the overall results of the locality. Therefore, relevant departments must closely coordinate, thoroughly review, fully update, and unify data, taking that as an important basis for election organization and population management.
Along with that, localities must strengthen inspection and supervision from before, during and after elections. Party committees and authorities need to be close to the grassroots level, regularly stick to the area, stick to the polling station to promptly direct, urge, and remind. In particular, it is necessary to promote propaganda both in breadth and depth, with focus and key points, so that people understand their rights and responsibilities as citizens, and actively participate in elections.
Regarding military recruitment work, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong also noted that this is an important political task, which needs to be carried out in parallel and closely. It is necessary to do a good job of propaganda and mobilization for young people to understand the sacred duty to protect the Fatherland; and at the same time grasp the thoughts and feelings of young people before enlisting. Localities need to pay attention to implementing good military rear policies, taking care of families of young people enlisting. From the preparation stage, organization of military handover to after young people leave, they must show timely concern and encouragement so that they can feel secure in performing their duties.
