On March 30, a source from Lao Dong Newspaper confirmed that the leaders of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee had proposed to the Central Government for an investment policy to upgrade and renovate National Highway 29 connecting Dak Lak province with Phu Yen.
Accordingly, National Highway 29 connecting Dak Lak and Phu Yen is about 180 km long, with a total estimated investment of more than VND10,000 billion, with a scale of 4 lanes.
This upgraded and renovated route will facilitate people's travel and trade of goods, promoting the socio-economic development of the two localities.
Previously, the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction) studied the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 29 through Dak Lak province.
However, due to the Ministry's medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025, in addition to adjusting down the sub-allocation to localities, the remaining resources are concentrated on important and urgent driving projects under the direction of the National Assembly and the Government. Therefore, it is not possible to balance to implement new projects, including National Highway 29.
