The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has just responded in writing to the Department of Justice of Ca Mau province regarding the proposal to extend the implementation time of the roadmap for classifying domestic solid waste at source according to the provisions of Clause 7, Article 79 of the Law on Environment and Natural Resources 2020 for localities to implement.
Regarding this issue, the Department of Environment responded as follows: The policy on classifying domestic solid waste (CTRSH) is a policy in line with the Party and State's policy on promoting the circular economy. To date, 26/34 provinces and cities have implemented the work of classifying social security.
One of the biggest difficulties and challenges affecting the classification of social security agencies in households and individuals is the unsynchronized technical infrastructure for collecting, transporting and handling social security agencies. This is the responsibility of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities. Therefore, it is recommended that localities prioritize budget allocation and necessary conditions to invest in synchronous infrastructure for collection, transportation and handling of social security.
At the same time, it is recommended to further promote propaganda work, raise awareness and sense of responsibility of people in the classification of social security activities to move towards making social security classification activities at source a habit and daily life of people.
Regarding the roadmap for classifying social networks, based on the opinions of localities, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is currently synthesizing, researching, and advising the Government to consider and decide on a suitable roadmap for classifying social networks in the process of perfecting the law on environmental protection.
