On August 29, according to Di An Ward People's Committee, the Executive Committee of the Di An Ward Party Committee held the 13th conference to expand the term 2025-2030. At the conference, delegates unanimously proposed not to merge, maintain stability of boundaries and organizational structure of Di An Ward according to the two-level local government organization.
According to Di An Ward People's Committee, currently the ward has ensured the criteria of commune-level administrative units according to regulations, and at the same time has a population size, area, urban infrastructure and appropriate socio-economic development conditions.
It is known that Di An ward was established on the basis of merging the entire area of Di An ward, An Binh ward and a part of Tan Dong Hiep ward (Di An city, former Binh Duong province).
The ward has an area of about 21.38 km2 and a population of 227,817 people. This is identified as the most populous ward in Ho Chi Minh City.

In terms of infrastructure and society, Di An ward has the characteristics of a compact urban area with a very high population density, with about 10,650 people/km2. The ward has Song Than 1 industrial park, Song Than 2 industrial park, Binh Duong industrial park and many industrial production plants. This is a locality that attracts many workers and laborers to live and work.
