On the morning of April 4, leaders of Da Huoai 2 commune (Lam Dong) said that a fire had just occurred in the area, originating from a landfill, and then spreading to people's durian gardens. Fortunately, the fire was controlled in time.

Previously, at about 7 pm on April 3, people discovered fire rising from an old landfill in hamlet 2 (Da Huoai 2 commune). Due to dry weather and strong winds, the fire quickly flared up fiercely, spreading to 2 adjacent durian gardens.
Upon receiving the news, Da Huoai 2 Commune People's Committee mobilized dozens of people including the Commune Military Command, Commune Police, grassroots security and order teams and people to participate in extinguishing the fire. After about 1 hour of effort, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.

According to initial statistics, due to being controlled in time, the damage was not large, only partially affected in 2 durian gardens.
Some durian trees are slightly scorched, affecting growth but still have the ability to recover.

Functional agencies recommend that it is currently the peak of the dry season, with a high risk of fire. People need to be vigilant and not burn garbage indiscriminately in residential areas and production areas to prevent fires.
When a fire is detected, it is necessary to immediately report to the authorities and functional agencies for timely handling and limiting damage.
