On the afternoon of April 2nd, the Bao Loc Regional Forest Protection Department (Lam Dong) said that the unit had just promptly coordinated with forces to control and extinguish a pine forest fire in sub-area 478, Dai Binh mountain (Ward 3, Bao Loc).

Initial information, at about 2 pm on the same day, people discovered fire and smoke rising from the pine forest area on Dai Binh mountain, so they reported it to functional agencies.
Upon receiving the news, Bao Loc Ward 3 People's Committee mobilized police and military forces to coordinate with forest rangers and the forest owner unit to quickly approach the scene and deploy fire fighting measures.

More than 40 people fired firebreaks, using tree branches and fire extinguishers to control the fire. Despite thick smoke and high temperatures, the participating forces still persistently stayed, handling flexibly to protect the pine forest area.
After about 3 hours of effort, by 5 pm on the same day, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.

The pine forest where the fire occurred is planted forest managed and protected by the Area 3 - Bao Lam Defense Command.
Initial statistics show that the fire only caused damage of about 1ha under the pine forest canopy. The burned area of the undergrowth includes shrubs and reeds under the forest canopy; it did not greatly affect the pine forest area.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at noon on March 28, in sub-area 476 (Dau Lao residential group 5, Bao Loc ward 3) on the top of Bao Loc pass, a forest fire also occurred.
More than 100 people were mobilized to participate in firefighting and after more than 10 hours, the fire was completely extinguished.
The previous fire caused damage to more than 2 hectares of depleted natural forest, mainly shrubs, bamboo and reeds.
