On September 22, Hanoi City Police said that the Rapid Response Police of Hanoi City Police promptly prevented a woman carrying a small child who intended to commit suicide at Nhat Tan bridge, ensuring safety for both mother and child.
Accordingly, at about 5:40 am on September 21, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center received a report about a woman carrying a small child in the middle of Nhat Tan bridge, showing signs of suicidal intent.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Rapid Response Police Team, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order Police quickly deployed forces to the scene to verify and handle the incident.
At the scene, the Task Force discovered a woman showing signs of unstable psychology, carrying a small child and standing close to the bridge railing.
Recognizing the particularly dangerous situation, which could directly threaten the lives of both mother and child, the Task Force quickly approached and promptly prevented it; and at the same time persistently encouraged, persuaded, and reassured the woman to give up her suicidal intention.
After the woman stabilized her spirit, the woman's husband was present at the scene.
The working group then took the whole family to the Hong Ha Ward Police headquarters, handed over the case for further verification and handling according to regulations.
