The Hoang Van Thu Specialized High School Construction Project (Hoa Binh ward, Phu Tho) is invested by the Hoa Binh Regional Project Management Board, with a total investment of about 600 billion VND from the provincial budget. The project is implemented in the period 2025 - 2029.
According to the approved investment policy, Hoang Van Thu Specialized High School is newly built to meet the requirements of developing high-quality education, towards building a modern, synchronous, and national standard learning environment.
The project is planned to meet the learning needs of about 1,600 students, with full items of classrooms, administrative area, multi-purpose building, living area, sports field system and synchronous technical infrastructure works.
The project is planned on a land area of about 4.38ha on Truong Han Sieu street, group 1, Hoa Binh ward. After reviewing the construction location, on April 29, 2026, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document agreeing on the policy of continuing to implement the project.
Currently, the Hoa Binh Regional Project Management Board is coordinating with local authorities to complete procedures for planning adjustment; it is expected to submit for appraisal and approval of the feasibility study report in the third quarter of 2026.
According to reporters' records, the land planned for the construction of the new Hoang Van Thu Specialized High School is not far from the existing school location. The distance between the two locations is quite close, convenient for connecting infrastructure, organizing educational activities as well as creating stability for teachers and students in the process of converting to a new facility after the project is completed.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Bui Van Duong, Principal of Hoang Van Thu Specialized High School, said that the school currently has 1,380 students, of which 295 students won provincial-level excellent student awards, ranking in the leading group of the province in terms of education quality.
According to Mr. Duong, the collective of officials, teachers, staff and parents are excited about the policy of investing in building a new school. In particular, the addition of dormitories will create favorable conditions to attract students in remote localities, contributing to expanding opportunities to access a high-quality education environment.
Modern facilities will help teachers and students feel secure in teaching and learning, thereby continuing to improve the quality of school-level education," Mr. Duong shared.
Previously, at the beginning of June, Hoa Binh Ward People's Committee coordinated with the Hoa Binh Area Project Management Board and related units to organize a conference to inform people about the implementation of the project to build Hoang Van Thu Specialized High School.
Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Binh ward and more than 40 households in the project planning area.
At the conference, people exchanged many contents related to the planning scope, compensation work, site clearance and resettlement arrangement plans when the project is implemented.
Accepting the opinions, Mr. Nguyen Duc Dung said that the investment in building Hoang Van Thu Specialized High School is a major policy to improve the comprehensive quality of education in the province.
At the same time, affirming that compensation, support and resettlement policies will be implemented in accordance with the law, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
The viewpoint of the province and locality is that the new residence of the people must have conditions equal to or better than the old residence. The Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee has agreed to prioritize suitable land funds to build resettlement areas to serve households subject to site clearance of the project," Mr. Dung emphasized.
