On September 20, information from Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, the unit has just issued regulations on the number of security and order protection teams and the number of members in villages, hamlets, and residential groups in the area.
According to the issued decision, Lai Chau province has 616 security and order protection teams with 2,305 members in communes and wards. The specific number in each area is determined in the appendix attached to the decision.
The new regulations apply to security and order protection teams, team members and agencies, organizations, and individuals related to this force in villages, hamlets, and residential groups of communes and wards.
The above decision was issued based on the provisions of law on the organization of local government, forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level and Resolution No. 34/2026/NQ-HDND of the Lai Chau Provincial People's Council.
The new regulation will take effect from October 1, 2026. At the same time, Decision No. 33/2024/QD-UBND dated August 19, 2024 of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee on this content expires.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns departments, agencies, branches, mass organizations, People's Committees of communes, wards and relevant agencies and units to organize the implementation and execution of decisions according to regulations.
