On the afternoon of January 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province organized a conference to sign a communication cooperation agreement with 29 central and local press agencies with offices and resident reporters in the province, including Lao Dong Newspaper.
Attending the conference were Mr. Vo Thanh Binh - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province; along with representatives of leaders of press and media agencies.
Promoting the role of the press
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc said that after the merger, Lam Dong became a province with a large area, diverse in culture, terrain and holding an important geopolitical position.
The signing of the communication cooperation agreement aims to strengthen propaganda and promote the province's potential and strengths in the fields of economy, politics, culture, and society.
According to Mr. Loc, through cooperation, the province and press agencies will unify the direction and content of propaganda, accompanying in timely and accurate reflection of the local situation; and at the same time fight against wrong and hostile views, contributing to promoting the role of revolutionary journalism.
After the signing ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will have a document sending the list of press agencies participating in cooperation to departments, branches, and localities to proactively coordinate and provide information to serve propaganda work.
Mr. Vo Thanh Binh - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee - acknowledged and highly appreciated the accompanying role of the press in the past time, contributing to vividly reflecting the socio-economic development situation of the province; and at the same time wished localities to continue to closely coordinate with the press, towards Lam Dong's sustainable development goals.
Comprehensive communication cooperation
According to the agreement, in 2026, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province and press agencies will focus on propagating the results of implementing socio-economic development targets, national defense and security; guidelines and policies to care for people's lives.
At the same time, propagating the Resolution of the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030; Resolution of the 14th Party Congress; action program to implement resolutions; election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
Key propaganda contents also include strategic resolutions of the Politburo on science and technology, digital transformation, international integration, private economic development; Party building and rectification work; prevention and combat of corruption and negativity; foreign affairs activities and promotion of the province's potential and strengths.
