Da Nang International Airport on March 19 said that in 2026, Da Nang airport reached the 75th position, up 9 places compared to the previous year. At the same time, it continues to be in the Top 10 best airports in Asia.
This result reflects efforts to comprehensively upgrade infrastructure, services and technology. Passenger terminal T1 was chosen as the focus of renovation. Many items have been upgraded such as business lounge, domestic passenger hall, toilet and smoking area.
The terminal space is rearranged in a modern and convenient direction. Seating systems, green trees, information counters, and signboards are synchronously added. Flight display screens and check-in counters are replaced, helping passengers easily access information.
The airport also enhances service facilities. High-speed Wi-Fi covers the entire terminal. Equipment charging pillars, free drinking water, digital maps and workspaces are spaciously arranged. Support services for disadvantaged passengers are expanded, including the elderly, people with disabilities and families with young children.
In the digital transformation roadmap, many modern technology solutions are being implemented. Automatic toll collection systems, airport data management software, traffic analysis using artificial intelligence and chatbots supporting information are put into operation.
Notably, biometric and automation technology is applied in the procedure process. Security checkpoints and automatic boarding gates help shorten waiting times. Visual guidance system helps passengers move more conveniently.
Information support counters in the security area operate continuously. The free utility ecosystem continues to be expanded, improving the overall experience.
Synchronous improvements are bringing Da Nang airport closer to the goal of meeting the 4-star standard as assessed by Skytrax. Thereby, contributing to enhancing the image of Vietnamese aviation and promoting tourism and economic development in the Central region.
