Lang Son is expected to allocate more than 581 billion VND in 2026 for new rural construction programs, cultural development and drug prevention and control.

According to information from Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the total capital for implementing the three national target programs in 2026 is more than 581 billion VND. Of which, public investment capital is more than 370 billion VND, and regular expenditure is 211 billion VND.

The program to build new rural areas, reduce sustainable poverty and develop socio-economics in ethnic minority and mountainous areas was allocated more than 315.3 billion VND, accounting for the largest proportion.

This resource is used to build rural infrastructure, support production development, create livelihoods, multidimensional poverty reduction and improve living conditions in particularly difficult communes and villages.

The medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period of the program alone has a total capital of more than 2,560 billion VND, including nearly 1,869 billion VND from the central budget and more than 691 billion VND of local counterpart capital.

The cultural development program is allocated more than 217 billion VND. Of which, 149.5 billion VND of public investment capital is expected to be allocated to 11 projects to build and renovate cultural institutions and preserve relics.

However, this investment capital has not been allocated in detail because the projects have not completed procedures. The province requests the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related units to urgently prepare investment and complete dossiers before submitting them to the Provincial People's Council for allocation.

The drug prevention and control program is allocated 49 billion VND from the central budget. About 22.6 billion VND is assigned to provincial-level agencies, 26.25 billion VND is allocated to commune-level agencies and 150 million VND is for unexpected and urgent tasks.

The funding is prioritized for fighting drug crime, propaganda for prevention, detoxification, management of post-detoxification people and improving the effectiveness of drug prevention and control in key areas.
