Reduce 32 communes and towns, reduce 668 villages and residential blocks and about 5,700 part-time workers in villages and residential groups.
Along with that, the whole province implemented streamlining of 3,940 staff; the organizational structure of agencies and units was arranged and consolidated towards streamlining, effective and efficient operations.
In the coming time, Lang Son province plans to merge the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; end the activities of 6 Party delegations and 3 provincial-level Party executive committees; end the activities of the Provincial Agencies Bloc Party Committee; and establish 2 Party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee. At the district level, the Propaganda Department and Mass Mobilization Department of the district and city Party Committees will be merged.
For government units, merge the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance; the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction; the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology; the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs.
At the same time, reorganize the functions of a number of departments, branches, and units under the Provincial People's Committee, reorganize mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State, etc.
In addition, the operation of a number of steering committees with permanent offices located at advisory agencies assisting the Provincial Party Committee, the Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations of the province and a number of steering committees established by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee will be terminated.
At the district level, establish a number of new specialized departments such as: health department, ethnic and religious department; merge the department of labor, war invalids and social affairs with the department of internal affairs; merge the department of agriculture and rural development with the department of natural resources and environment, etc.
After the reorganization, the whole province reduced 1 advisory and support agency for the Provincial Party Committee; increased 1 party committee directly under the Provincial Party Committee; reduced 9 party organizations directly under the Provincial Party Committee; reduced 11 committees which are advisory and support agencies for the district and city Party Committees.
For provincial and district-level government agencies and units, after the arrangement, 5 departments which are specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee will be reduced; 1 agency which is another administrative organization will be reduced.
For the association organizations assigned by the Party and State, after the arrangement, the provincial level will reduce 7 associations; the district level will reduce 4 associations/district; and the commune level will reduce 3 associations/commune.
