Deadline for reporting on government apparatus arrangement

Today, December 15, is the deadline for ministries and branches to complete reports related to organizational restructuring and send them to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Government has just issued Resolution No. 233/NQ-CP at the regular meeting in November 2024, in which the Government requested to urgently complete within a specific deadline in December 2024 the work related to organizational restructuring.

The Government requests ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government, according to their assigned functions, tasks, and authorities, to thoroughly grasp the contents of the orientation and plan, and the progress of the arrangement and streamlining of the Government's apparatus as required by the Central Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.

Focus on propaganda work, create consensus and unity in the arrangement process; propose plans to improve the organizational structure.

Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and Government agencies shall immediately establish a Steering Committee headed by the Minister or Head of the agency to direct the arrangement of the apparatus in the spirit of the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.

Prioritize all resources to fully and comprehensively implement tasks and plan to reorganize the Government's apparatus and internal organizations of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government in accordance with the progress of completing each task specified in the Plan to orient the reorganization and streamlining of the Government's apparatus.

Notably, the Government requires urgent completion within a specific deadline in December 2024 of tasks related to organizational restructuring, including:

Develop a summary report on the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW; Develop a project and plan to arrange and consolidate the organizational apparatus according to the requirements and directions of the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee;

Draft a Decree regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of ministries and agencies after the rearrangement; Review the system of legal documents directly related to the rearrangement of the organizational apparatus;

At the same time, develop a Project to establish Party Committees of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and Government agencies directly under the Government Party Committee, and draft the Working Regulations of Party Committees of ministries and agencies.

Previously, in Document No. 141/KH-BCDTKNQ18 dated December 6, 2024 of the Government Steering Committee, the Government also requested ministries and branches to be responsible for preparing a summary report and sending it to the Central Steering Committee before December 31, 2024 (including the report of the Government Party Committee) according to the plan of the Central Steering Committee.

To ensure the progress of the Government Party Committee's report preparation, the Ministry of Home Affairs proposes to the Prime Minister to direct ministries and branches to complete the report and send it to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government Office before December 15, 2024.

After receiving reports from ministries and branches, the Ministry of Home Affairs will synthesize, review and complete the report, submit it to the Government Party Committee on December 25, 2024, in time to send it to the Central Steering Committee on December 31, 2024.
