The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Official Letter No. 14234/VP-DT announcing the direction of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan on ensuring fire prevention and fighting safety and rescue at vehicle parking lots and parking lots in the City.
According to the content of the document, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan agreed in principle with the report and proposal of the City Police in Report No. 736/BC-CAHN-PCCC on ensuring fire safety and fire prevention and fighting and rescue at vehicle parking lots under bridges in Hanoi.
Assign the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the City Police, People's Committees of wards, communes and related units to urgently inspect and comprehensively review the areas under the bridge that have been and are being temporarily used for vehicle parking.
At the same time, strictly handle spontaneous and unauthorized parking lots and points, especially under the bridge area, to prevent recurrence. Guiding and urging vehicle parking units in the area to strictly implement regulations on fire prevention and fighting, urban order, traffic safety and hygiene. Timely advise, propose, and report to the City People's Committee on contents beyond its authority.
The results of the inspection of Vinh Tuy bridge branch have been released
On September 10, the Hanoi Department of Construction said that regarding the fire at the parking lot at the foot of Vinh Tuy bridge that occurred on August 30, the consulting unit had initial inspection results.
The inspection results showed that at the fire area at Ramp CV1C, the last 2 spans (N1, N2) connected to the abutment and pillar T2. The fire affected the bottom and beam sides of the project.
Through inspection, the consulting unit said that the location of pier M1 was not affected by the fire. The M1 bridge bridge bridge is in a normal state, not affected.
In addition, the inspection results assessed that the fire center temperature could be up to 900 degrees Celsius, causing the bridge concrete to have decreased to a certain extent.
The fire affected the steel belt due to the temperature, the vertical steel belt was not affected much.
From the inspection results, experts assessed that the Ramp CV1C branch of Vinh Tuy Bridge is still exploiting the designed load. However, to ensure long-term safety, the inspection unit recommended that the damaged spans and pillars should be repaired soon.
While waiting for the repair, the consulting unit also recommended continuing to limit the vehicle weight across the bridge as at present. After that, relevant units will have additional assessments to consider restoring the exploitation of Vinh Tuy Bridge according to the original design load.
