The project to build a running road along the Red River connecting Ban Vuoc border gate to Y Ty, from Km4+300 to Km7+500, the connecting branch line and the bridge over Ngoi Phat stream was approved by the People's Committee of Lao Cai province under Decision No. 2805 dated November 1, 2024.
This is a Group B project with a total approved investment of 380 billion VND. The Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned as the Investor of this project.
To date, the project has announced a total of 20 packages. In which, Package No. 7: Selecting contractors for packages in the project implementation phase is the package with the largest value with a price of more than 167 billion VND.
With the second largest value after Package No. 7 is Package No. 14: Construction of Ngoi Phat bridge (including equipment relocation) - nearly 115 billion VND from land use fee revenue, increased tax, fee, other revenue, savings in provincial budget expenditures and other legal capital sources.
According to Lao Dong, the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board has just announced a bidding for Package No. 14. The bid payment date is determined to be June 16, 2025; the contract implementation period is 18 months.

For the lower part, the abutment, the bridge piers are made of reinforced concrete on the bored pile foundation system.
The bridge has an approach road designed according to the scale of the route with the standards of a level III plain road, designed speed of 80km/h; Roadbed width of 22.5 m; road surface width of 20 m (including the embankment as the road surface structure)...
The project is invested in accordance with the planning of Ban Vuoc border gate area, the overall planning for traffic development and the socio-economic development plan of Lao Cai province, meeting the travel and trade needs of the people.
