Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving and announcing the 2025 administrative reform index for departments, agencies, branches under the Provincial People's Committee and People's Committees of communes and wards in the area.
According to the announced results, the departments, boards, and branches have 15/16 units ranked "Excellent", 1 unit ranked "Good", with an average score of 93.83 points.
Leading the ranking is the Department of Home Affairs with 96.44 points. Followed by the Department of Finance with 95.94 points; Lao Cai Provincial Inspectorate with 95.90 points; Provincial People's Committee Office with 95.30 points and Department of Construction with 95.22 points.
The Department of Education and Training is the only unit ranked "Good", with 89.82 points.
For the People's Committees of communes and wards, the average score reached 85.28 points. Of which, 34 units were ranked "Excellent", 48 units were ranked "Good", 12 units were ranked "Good", 4 units were ranked "Medium" and 1 unit was ranked "Weak".
The leading localities in the 2025 Administrative Reform Index include Yen Binh commune reaching 95.51 points; Sa Pa ward reaching 95.31 points; Bat Xat commune reaching 95.18 points; Luc Yen commune reaching 95.13 points and Trinh Tuong commune reaching 94.90 points.
Chau Que commune had the lowest result with 49.36 points, ranked "Weak".
According to the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, the results of the 2025 administrative reform index are the basis for agencies, units, and localities to objectively assess the implementation of administrative reform tasks; and at the same time clearly identify existing shortcomings and limitations to have solutions to overcome and improve the quality of service for people and businesses in the coming time.
Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, agencies, branches and People's Committees of communes and wards to continue to thoroughly grasp, draw experience, and promote administrative reform and improve indicators in the following years.
