Lao Cai - The Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee has just issued a plan to improve the happiness index of the people, striving to reach 69% in 2026.

On March 14, according to PV's investigation, the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee has just issued a plan to improve the happiness index of people in 2026, concretizing the action program to implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the term 2025-2030.

According to the plan, in 2026, the province strives for the people's happiness index to reach 69%. In which, the satisfaction index with life is about 58.9%; the satisfaction index with average life expectancy is 80.25%; the environmental impact assessment index at the place of residence reaches 68.5%.

To achieve the goal, Lao Cai synchronously implements socio-economic development solutions associated with ensuring social security, building a safe and healthy living environment, taking people as the center of development.

The province also plans to organize the "Happy Family" contest, launch "Happy School", "Happy Village, Happy Residential Group", "Happy Commune, Happy Ward" models and many activities to respond to International Day of Happiness March 20.

It is known that in the period 2021-2025, the happiness index of people in the province reached 68.3%, an increase of more than 10% compared to 2020.

In the coming time, Lao Cai province will continue to maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of the "All people unite to build a cultural life" movement, contributing to building a healthy, rich and sustainable cultural life throughout society.

Strengthen the participation of all classes of people, create positive changes in building and promoting the cultural strength and people of Lao Cai into a driving force for socio-economic development; constantly improve the spiritual and cultural life and happiness index for the people.
