In the afternoon of July 13, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee - chaired a meeting with subcommittees, departments, branches and related units on the preparation for the Lao Cai Provincial Investment Promotion Conference in 2026.
According to the report, to date, the preparation for the conference has basically been deployed on schedule. The composition of delegates attending has basically been confirmed; documents, programs and speeches of provincial leaders are being completed.
At the conference, Lao Cai province is expected to award 19 investment policy approval decisions, 2 memorandums of understanding (MOUs). At the same time, 10 businesses have registered to support social security programs in the area.
Side activities are also being urgently prepared. In which, the groundbreaking ceremony of Phu Thinh 3 Industrial Cluster has completed the script and is expected to have a general rehearsal on July 15.
Two thematic seminars on July 16th have been planned, scripted, sent invitation letters and are continuing to confirm delegates and complete the content of presentations.
Along with that, the display space, art programs, flag salute ceremony, opening of the pedestrian street, along with reception, logistics, security, traffic, health and propaganda work are deployed synchronously.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh requested units to focus highly, carefully review each part of the work, and prevent errors from occurring.
The content, scenario of the conference, speeches of provincial leaders and presentation materials must clearly convey the message of attracting investment, and at the same time introduce key projects of the locality.
Units are required to closely follow investors, complete the content of signing and awarding investment decisions, ensuring that the conference takes place thoughtfully, substantively, and effectively.
For side activities, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested that the art program, flag salute ceremony and opening of the pedestrian street be organized solemnly, creating highlights, contributing to promoting the image, potential and local cultural identity.
Logistics, security, health, and food safety must also be carefully prepared, especially the conditions for serving delegates and international partners.
The Lao Cai Provincial Investment Promotion Conference 2026 is expected to take place on July 16 and 17. For the seminar "Lao Cai - A place of convergence of Northwest colors" co-organized by the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and Lao Dong Newspaper, the list of delegates to attend has now been completed with about 80 - 100 people.
