In the eulogy at the ceremony, Chairman of Bat Xat Commune People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that in the fight to protect the northern border, tens of thousands of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army fought bravely to protect every sacred inch of the Fatherland.
Many outstanding children of Bat Xat homeland have forever lain on the battlefield when they were very young, leaving behind unfinished dreams. The sacrifice of the martyrs has contributed to writing an immortal epic about the patriotism and courageous fighting spirit of the Vietnamese nation.

According to local leaders, the work of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains has always been identified by the Party, State, Army and people as a special political task, reflecting the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source" and is an order from the heart.
