According to statistics from Lao Cai Provincial Police, from August 29 to September 2, the traffic safety and order situation in the area was maintained stably.
During the holidays, no traffic accidents occurred in the whole province on roads, railways and waterways.
To ensure safety for people during peak travel, the Provincial Traffic Police force organized 185 working groups, with 827 turns of officers and soldiers participating in patrols and inspections.
Through this, functional forces controlled 18,541 vehicles, made records of 1,696 violations, with an estimated fine of more than 4.89 billion VND.

Functional agencies revoked driving licenses in 15 cases, deducted points from driving licenses in 230 cases and temporarily seized 282 vehicles.
In the road sector alone, functional forces recorded 1,685 violations. Among them, speeding accounted for the largest number of violations with 809 cases.
There were 205 cases of not wearing helmets, 154 cases of alcohol concentration violations and 139 cases of not having a driver's license or using an invalid license.

Inspection work is deployed on key traffic routes, densely populated areas, tourist areas and places with high traffic volume during the holidays.
In addition to handling violations, traffic police strengthen direct propaganda for people in crowded areas, market fairs, tourist spots; distribute leaflets, guide safe traffic participation skills.
