Sampling and digitizing 1,235 remains of unidentified martyrs in Binh Duong area

Ho Chi Minh City - Steering Committee 515 of the city is taking samples and digitizing 1,235 remains of unidentified martyrs at martyrs' cemeteries in Binh Duong area.

Task Force No. 9 under Steering Committee 515 of Ho Chi Minh City is performing the task of taking samples, digitizing and handing over samples of remains of unidentified martyrs at Binh Duong Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery (old). This is an activity contributing to the effective implementation of the "500-day and night campaign to promote the search, gathering and identification of martyrs' remains".

Task Force No. 9 was assigned the task of taking samples, digitizing and handing over samples of remains of unidentified martyrs at two cemeteries in the Binh Duong area. Among them, there are 977 graves at Binh Duong Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery (old) in Thuan Giao ward and 238 graves at Di An Martyrs' Cemetery in Tan Dong Hiep ward.

To date, Task Force No. 9 has exhumed over 660 graves, reaching about 50% of the workload. The unit strives to complete the sampling and digitization work before August 31. Thereby creating conditions to soon deploy the DNA testing phase, contributing to identifying unidentified martyrs.
