According to the plan, on the morning of September 5, Group No. 2 - Ship SE63 transported 598 officers and soldiers along with materials, equipment, and accompanying luggage from Military Region 7, Military Region 9 (men's block); Navy... to Saigon Station at 10:00 a.m.
From early morning, the waiting hall area was packed with people. Not only young people, but also volunteer youth and local women's unions were present, preparing fresh flowers and banners to welcome the soldiers. Many people brought small gifts and prepared phones to record the moment the soldiers got off the boat.
The authorities must continuously remind and guide to ensure security and avoid congestion in the station area.
At around 10am, when the train entered the station, the atmosphere suddenly became bustling. The cheers and applause echoed throughout the waiting hall, many young people raised their banners and crowded close to the ship's gate with the hope of seeing the soldiers in the moment of their return.
Nguyen Chi Khang ( Logistics - Technical Officer) shared that he was moved to meet his lover again as soon as he set foot in Saigon Station.
During many months away from home, the supporting team always accompanied and shared many stories. Although I live far away, it is a great source of motivation to help me complete the tasks assigned by the country" - Nguyen Chi Khang said.

Comrade Vo Vinh Thanh (Army - Air Force) said he felt choked up when receiving so much affection and love from the people of Ho Chi Minh City.
"After returning to the unit, I will arrange to return to my hometown Vinh Long to visit my family, because I have been away from home for nearly a year, when I was honored to perform both A50 and A80 tasks" - comrade Thanh shared.
Nguyen Thuy Linh (22 years old, Binh Thanh District) said she had arrived at 7am. She shared: "I really admire the spirit of Senior Lieutenant Le Hoang Hiep. This time hearing the news of the train coming to Saigon station, I was determined to be there to cheer, even though I knew the possibility of meeting in person was very difficult.
Despite the tight control of the security force, emotions exploded when the train car door opened. Every step of the soldiers was welcomed with applause, smiles and wishes.
