The Minister of Agriculture and Environment has just sent a telegram to the Director of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company about opening a bottom spillway of Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir.
The dispatch clearly stated that at 8:00 a.m. on June 26, 2025, the upstream water level of Tuyen Quang Lake was at 105.2m, the downstream water level was 50.51m, the flow to the lake was 1,393m3/s, the maximum flow to the downstream was 729m3/s.

Open 1 bottom spillway of Tuyen Quang hydroelectric reservoir at 2:00 p.m. on June 27, 2025 to maintain upstream water level at 105.2m elevation. Organize close monitoring of flood developments, construction safety, flow to the reservoir, water levels upstream and downstream of the reservoir, promptly report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (through the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control) and relevant agencies according to regulations.
On the same day, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment also sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of the provinces and cities: Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi on ensuring safety downstream when traveling on Tuyen Quang hydroelectric reservoir.
To ensure the safety of works and activities along the river, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment recommends that People's Committees of provinces and cities immediately notify authorities at all levels, people, and organizations operating on rivers and along rivers; aquaculture facilities, water transport vehicles; ferry terminals and vertical boats; review and ensure the safety of works under construction; sand and gravel mining activities, and transfer of information on flood discharge from Tuyen Quang hydroelectric reservoir to focus on preventive measures to ensure safety of people and property.
Timely report and propose solutions to handle unusual situations that may occur during the flood discharge process to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (through the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control).
