Gia Lai - Within just 1 month, there were consecutive cases of tragic drowning in the province.

On August 25, Ms. Vo Thuy Van - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ia Dreh Commune (Gia Lai Province) - said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the commune, causing the death of Nay H'Le N (born in 2013, residing in Nong Siu village, Ia Dreh Commune).

According to initial information, at around 1:00 p.m. on August 24, N and 4 friends went to Ko Sum stream to catch snails and suddenly fell into the stream and drowned.

After hearing the news, the family and local people came to assist in the search, but N had died.

"Understanding the incident, the local authorities visited, encouraged and supported the family with 2 million VND to take care of N's funeral," said Ms. Van.

As Lao Dong reported, on the morning of July 26, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc (born in 2003, residing in Pham village, Uar commune) was at home taking care of his child K (2 years old). After giving his child milk, Mr. Phuc let him play in the kitchen and then went into the house. About 15 minutes later, he could not find his child anywhere, so he rushed to look for him and discovered that K had fallen into a lake near his house and died.
