Of which, the Quang Tri Province Bus Station Management Center owes more than 4.3 billion VND; the Quang Tri Waterway and Road Vehicle Inspection Center owes more than 2.8 billion VND; the Quang Tri Province Transport Vocational College owes more than 3.1 billion VND; the Quang Tri Driver Training and Testing Center owes more than 1.6 billion VND...
In addition to the land rent debt, some units also have to pay late payment fees totaling more than 500 million VND.
Mr. Le Duc Tien - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee said that based on reports from units and tax authorities, Quang Tri province has recorded 10 cases of land rental arrears. These are 10 public service units that must switch to land rental according to the 2013 Land Law.
“Quang Tri province has reported to the Ministry of Finance about these 10 cases of land rental arrears,” Mr. Le Duc Tien informed.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital (Quang Tri town, Quang Tri province) filed a late application for land rent exemption and reduction, so the Quang Tri Tax Department determined that the hospital had to pay nearly 400 million VND including land rent and late payment fees.
Meanwhile, Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital is a public hospital and does not have the financial resources to pay land rent and late payment fees as required by the tax authorities. If forced, it will seriously affect the medical examination and treatment, health care and protection of people in the province.
After that, the Department of Health of Quang Tri province reported and requested the Department of Finance to advise the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to submit to the Ministry of Finance for consideration and guidance on removing obstacles related to the collection of land rent of Trieu Hai Regional General Hospital.
