Speeding up the inter-provincial road project
The Ring Road V project has a total capital of nearly 700 billion VND, invested by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Management Board, and will be implemented from 2021.
The 6.68 km long route, passing through Phu Binh district, connecting Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang, is part of a 330 km route passing through 8 localities with a total investment of VND86,000 billion.
The road surface is designed to be 22m wide, with 4 lanes for class II roads and 6 lanes for urban roads in the 2021-2025 period. After that, the route will be upgraded to a 6-lane expressway when there are enough resources and transportation needs.
Noting the time near Lunar New Year, after 3 years of implementation, the Ring Road V project is gradually being completed, some sections have been paved with asphalt.
At the hard bridge locations: Main Canal and Troi Canal are now basically completed. At the construction site, workers and machinery are mobilized to level, create the ground, fill K98 soil... and deploy auxiliary items.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Tran Xuan Hien - Construction Team Leader of Traffic Construction and Management Joint Stock Company 236 said that the project site has basically been cleared and handed over to the construction unit.
During the construction process, a large amount of dust is generated, so the construction unit regularly sprays water to minimize the impact on households living near the project.
According to the construction unit, the Ring Road V project is expected to be completed in March 2025. The project is expected to contribute to changing the urban landscape, expanding commercial space and facilitating people's travel.
Hundred billion road in the first new rural district of Thai Nguyen
The project connecting National Highway (QL) 37 and Provincial Road (DT) 269B has a total investment of 222 billion VND, invested by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project will be implemented in December 2023.
The total length of the route is 6.1km, passing through the communes of Xuan Phuong, Tan Kim, Tan Thanh (Phu Binh district); the starting point connects with the main road through Xuan Phuong commune, the end point intersects with DT.269B at Km5+450.
This is a project designed according to the standards of a grade III mountain road. To implement the project, more than 14.3 hectares of 482 households were acquired.
According to PV's records in January 2025, after more than 12 months of implementation, the project has gradually taken shape and is entering the completion stage.
Most of the road has been paved with asphalt. In some sections, workers and machines are leveling, compacting the ground, completing drainage works... deploying hard bridges and access roads to synchronize the traffic infrastructure, replacing old, small, narrow roads.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dang - Chairman of Tan Kim Commune People's Committee (Phu Binh District) informed that the approximately 4 km long section through the commune has been basically completed, reaching about 90% of the project volume. The remaining areas are still under construction, expected to be completed in early 2025.
"The locality and people really hope that the road will be completed and put into use soon. This is an important project, not only improving the quality of traffic infrastructure but also creating favorable conditions for travel, trade, and promoting economic development," the commune leader shared.
